P&C Welcome
Welcome back to Term 2 of 2023! What a busy time of year we have coming up.
We would love to add more members to our wonderful P&C community. Being a member doesn’t mean you have to volunteer for every event or come to meetings. Being a member means you have a voice in our community and that you will be kept in the loop on all the exciting (and sometimes not so exciting) projects and events that we have in the pipeline. Please note that all grandparents and family members who would like to help in the tuckshop are required to obtain a BlueCard before their first shift. This is a free application and can be done via the link. Please notify us first before applying with your Driver’s License number.

All volunteers are required to sign in at the office before each shift and then also sight and sign the Key Messages for the school. Once this is completed the school will keep a record and we encourage you to take a photo of this document and store it on your phone. The Key Messages are only to be completed once.
Qkr! Orders
We know when ordering on Qkr! it can get a bit tricky, and we have had an increase in the number of mistakes being made by parents and caregivers on tuckshop orders, resulting in children not having lunch supplied as expected, so here are some handy hints on making and cancelling orders. Please remember that you can always email or message our Facebook page if you need some help.
Please make sure all profiles are correct, and that you order for the correct child on the correct day.
If an ordering error does occur, the school will notify you and put you in touch with the tuckshop so a lunch can be provided. Please check your receipts in Qkr! to help identify the error and be considerate when speaking with our tuckshop convenor Rosetta or the volunteers as they help you to arrange a lunch for your child.
Please note that when you order for the wrong day and your child arrives with no lunch they will always be fed, once you have been notified by the school.
Qkr! How to make an order
Please note: the cut off time for orders is 8.15am for tuckshop, and thus any orders MUST be done before 8:15am. The tuckshop cannot do any ordering for you via Qkr! – it must be done by the account holder.
To order, follow these steps via the Qkr! App.
- Select ESS and then from the menu select what break/event you want to order from (Image 1)
- If you have multiple profiles, this when you can select which person you are ordering for and which date (Image2)
- Click on the items you want to order and add to cart.
- You can use the back arrow to go back to other menus to order for different breaks/events/uniform shop.
The days will be highlighted in orange when they have an order allocated to them.
- Click on “Checkout, you may need to enter your password here and then “submit payment”.
- Confirm by clicking ‘OK’.
Qkr! - How to cancel an order.
Please note: the cut off time for orders is 8.15am for the tuckshop, and thus any cancellations MUST be done before 8:15am. The tuckshop cannot provide refunds or cancel via the Qkr! system – it must be done by the account holder.
To cancel part of or a complete order, follow these steps via the Qkr! App.
- Go into your ‘My Receipts’ in the top left menu (3 horizontal lines)
- Click on the order you wish to cancel.
- Select the red ‘cancel’ circle/icon (indicated with arrow in Image 1)
- Check which item or order you’d like to cancel (Image 2)
- Confirm by clicking ‘OK’
Qkr! will then add credit to your Qkr! account the amount of the orders/items you have cancelled. This amount of the credit note will be deducted from your next order. Please let us know if you have any questions about this process via email pandc@enoggerass.eq.edu.au
Adding to an existing order
Unfortunately, once your order has been processed you are unable to edit it or add to it. The whole order needs to be cancelled and redone.
Let’s Boogie Disco Night
We are so excited to have so many fun events coming up. Kicking off Term 2 we have our Let’s Boogie disco held at Everton Park State High School on Friday 5th May from 5-8pm.
Please note this event is NOT a drop and go event- children must have an accompanying adult.
BBQ and Bar will be open from 5pm with the disco starting at 5.30pm. Come along to catch up with friends, dance and grab some dinner. To help our wonderful volunteers with planning and on the night- please order your food and drinks via the Qkr! App

Mother’s Day Stall -
The highlight for the Enoggera State School P & C Association every year are the Mother’s and Father’s Day Stalls. The students get so excited about being able to buy a special gift for the special people in their lives.
This year the Mother’s Day Stall is scheduled for Friday 12th May, gift vouchers can be purchased from the QKR! App, up until 8.00 pm on Thursday, 11th May. The denomination of the gift vouchers available are - $5; $10 and $15. Upon entry to the Mother’s Day Stall, students will be given the gift voucher(s) purchased under their QKR! profile, and they can then select a gift to the value of the voucher(s). Please note to help our volunteers, vouchers that are purchased are colour coded by denomination and that is what the child will spend on each present. Eg- $5 vouchers will go to the $5 table and purchase 1 gift. One gift per voucher.
Purchase the gift vouchers via QKR! App
- Under ‘EVENTS’ select Mother’s Day Stall Gift Vouchers.
- Select the Student Profile you are purchasing the voucher(s) for. You will need to purchase voucher(s) per student profile if you have more than 1 child attending Enoggera, as the vouchers will be allocated via student names to their classes.
- Select a gift voucher denomination. Up to two gift vouchers can be purchased per student, this allows 2 gifts per student.
- Add to Cart and Checkout.
There will be a variety of lovely gifts available to suit all, including jewellery, relaxing soaps and bath salts, candles, manicure sets, gardening sets and plenty more.
Students are to bring a carry bag to take their gifts home in.

Annual Mother’s Day High Tea Event
Ladies...... it’s time to frock up! ??????
After the success of our inaugural Mother’s Day High Tea, ESS P&C are very excited to bring this event back again for 2023!
Hosted at the gorgeous Soul Pantry on Saturday May 20th from 2.30-4.30pm- arrival from 2pm with a cash bar available.
Tickets include 2 hours of bottomless beverages, a delicious High Tea, and an entry into the lucky door prize.
This is a perfect opportunity for new parents to meet other parents, old and new friends to catch up and an excuse to enjoy each other’s company while feeling and looking fabulous!
Tickets can be purchased via the QKR! App.
There vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options available- please select these when purchasing your ticket.
Battle of the Bands- Trivia Night
Who will be the Trivia champs of 2023?
Last year was our most successful Trivia Night and we are looking forward to surpassing all our goals for this year with another amazing evening- which this year will include a dance party afterwards!
The pressure is on to see who will dominate as most " Knowledgeable of things " at ESS.
This year’s theme is...... Battle Of the Bands- Music theme!
Come dressed as your favourite rock God/Goddess, musical genius, pop sensation, band, or music genre.
GO WILD!!!!!
Limited tickets/tables available $250 per table of 10 and $25 single tickets.
Purchase your table via the Qkr! app. Limited numbers.
Doors open at 6pm for all teams to decorate their tables- don't forget that there will be some amazing prizes up for grabs for best themed tables and costumes.
The Bar will start serving from 6pm and trivia will start from 7pm. This will be a cashless event.
BYO any snacks or food- you may even like to order in.

The Enoggera State School P & C meets every 4th Tuesday of the month.
Please note that due to ANZAC day our next meeting will be on Wednesday 26th April at 6.15pm in the Staff room. The following meeting will revert to the usual 4th Tuesday of the month, Tuesday 23rd May.
