Semester 1 Report Cards

At present classes are very busy finalising assessment pieces for the term.  This information will be used in conjunction with Term 1 assessment to provide your child with overall on balance Achievement and Effort marks for each curriculum learning area studied this semester.  Semester 1 Report Cards will be emailed to supplied parent email addresses on Thursday 22nd of June (Week 10).

If your email details have changed please provide updated information to Administration by Thursday 15th June so report cards can be distributed correctly.  Please note that emails are sent by: Application.ONESCHOOL@qed.qld.gov.au

Adding this address to your list of safe senders will ensure that your report card emails for your child/children will be received and not sent to your junk folder.

National Simultaneous Storytime

Once again, Enoggera State School excitedly celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday 24th May at 11:15am.  Over 100 students attended the library to read this year’s book The Speedy Sloth by Rebecca Young and Heath McKenzie and complete sloth art and craft activities.  So much fun was had by all!

Book Club Edition 4 Orders

Please note that Bookclub Edition 4 will be closing on Sunday 11th June.  This is to ensure orders are received in time for some fantastic reading over the school holidays. Information for placing orders can be found at https://scholastic.com.au/book-club/book-club-parents/

NAIDOC Celebrations

To celebrate NAIDOC Week 2nd – 9th July 2023 students will have the opportunity to attend the Googabinj show on Wednesday 12th July from 9:15 – 10:05am in EPAC.  The show starts with a story about a young boy who is so uncontrollable that the tribe send him off to his uncle, a wise tribal elder who helps teach the boy about  respecting and caring for the land and its’ animals.

Thoughout the story the artist displays his wonderful collection of native artefacts and weapons and demonstrates how his hunter gatherer ancestors made very effective hunting tools like the boomerang, spear, nulla nulla and woomera from the natural environment.

Students are taught traditional greetings and guess which animals and birds are being impersonated on colourful didgeridoos.

The cost of this show will be $5.50 per student and information will be provided later this week.
