Pillar Practice This week I am on the lookout for good examples of “Improving Line-up”.
Classes coming to DigiTech classes will be scored according to the following criteria: Being Quiet; Looking Ahead; Hands by Sides; Staying in Line; Walking Feet.
Computer Lab At Computer Club at first break, students are asked to work on their allocated computers in the Lab.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the upper school are invited first into the Lab, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays the lower school have first access to the computers. See the Lab Door sign (inside the Library) for more details.
Premier’s Coding Challenge A reminder to all students in Years 4, 5, 6 that the Premier’s Coding Challenge is closing soon. Some of the amazing work done last term would be perfect entries for this Challenge!
Prizes include a $500 robot kit, framed certificate from the Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Education Minister, Grace Grace and a celebration at one of the winning schools (with the Education Minister in attendance).
BEBRAS Computational Thinking Challenge Students in Years 3-6 are invited to Coding Club second break Wednesdays to prepare for the September Competition.
Parents can feel free to email mharr94@eq.edu.au to nominate their child/ren for this challenge. Students who competed in April are urged to compete again to further develop their problem solving skills.
Robotics Club. We are full steam ahead for next year’s Robo Cup Junior competitions. Tuesday and Thursday second break is when the teams meet to prepare their 2 minute robot performances.
Students in years 2-6 are invited to drop by to the Computer Lab.
