Class News - Year 5/6
What a big year it’s been. Term 4 is always busy, and this was a particularly huge term with gala sports, camp, and arts on stage in amongst all our learning and assessment.
Camp was an amazing opportunity to see each other's character strengths that we have explored through the Learning Curve program this year. Year fives particularly had great fun on the crate climb and low ropes.
Year sixes loved the koala climb and raft building, and the flying fox was a highlight for all. Many of these activities encouraged teamwork, perseverance and resilience.
We’ve also enjoyed comparing the novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to the film adaptation, particularly singing the Oompa Loompa songs. Every English lesson just made us all hungry reading about all the delicious lollies and inventions in the story.
Our year sixes are ready to move on to bigger and better things in high school, while our year fives are ready to step up into being school leaders. We wish the year sixes all the best with their future endeavours. Have a safe and happy holiday, from the 5/6’s!
