This year we have an exciting opportunity for our community to perform it’s first musical.
“Giants in the Sky” is a tale which explores the world of Giants who live above the clouds. Ever since they left Earth a long time ago, the Giants have made a life up above where their job is to keep the sky beautiful. They polish the stars, poke the clouds to let it rain and paint the sunsets. But there is one curious Giant who wonders what life is like on Earth, so she steals a key to the locked up “beanstalk” and embarks on an adventure down below!
Auditions for lead roles are well under way and we still have another busy week of auditions this week. If you would still like to audition for a lead role please come and see Ms Dunstan or myself for more information and an audition time slot. We would hate for anyone to miss out. We will announce dance and vocal ensemble auditions soon.
Choir News
Senior Choir and Junior Choir will be returning this year. Our Senior Choir involves students in years 4-6 who have a lot of fun making music together and performs during the year at assemblies, school concerts and other events.
Junior choir is a fun and relaxed environment for all students in years 1-3 to come along and sing some fun songs. Last year both choirs performed in the Winter Soiree, the Arts Night and the Christmas event.
Senior Choir – first rehearsal will be in week 5, on Friday, February 23rd
Junior Choir – first rehearsal will be in week 4, on Thursday, February 15th
I hope to see as many students as possible!
