HPE News
A huge thanks for everyone’s work in semester 1. From Mr Colin keeping the grounds in great condition, to the teacher aides assisting in our prep students lessons and of course, all the wonderful ESS students.
The end of term is always a busy one. We had our junior sports carnival on Thursday 13th June. Well done to all of those in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 who raced, threw and jumped in all our races and activities. I think there would have been some tired bodies!
A special thanks to all the teacher and teacher aide support too. The days would not have been a success if you did not get in and help. Plus a thank you to our school captains, sports captains and arts captains plus some pink vent volunteers who helped on the day. You did a terrific job!
Finally, thanks to the parents who came and cheered the little champions on, I hope seeing your little one taking part put a smile on your face.
The senior carnival was on Friday 14th June. It was another lovely day seeing ESS students trying their hardest at the athletics carnival. There are certainly some great little athletes here at ESS and it will be great to see them compete at our District trials in term 3.
Team Banksia was the winner on the day. Congratulations!!! But a very good effort from Waratah keeping it close all day.
Congratulations to our age champions for 2024.

Our ESS sports day is one of the biggest events during the year, I really need to say a few thanks to Mr Colin and Mrs Ainsley Butwell who helped set up early on both mornings. Thanks to Mr Harris helping on the Friday morning and Miss Dunstan assisting with the pack up. It really helps the day run so smoothly.
A massive thanks to all the teachers too. It is a very big change in the daily plan and they all pitched in and got their events and jobs done. I am very appreciative to work with a supportive school staff.
Thanks also to the administration team at ESS for providing all necessary adjustments, notes home, preparing first aid kits and just supporting me with this event.
Finally, in Netball news, our lunchtime 3 on 3 Netball has been running all term long. Last week we were able to have our finals day.
7th- Georgia, Ivy S, Keira
5th – Seri, Charlotte, Millie
3rd – Ali, Mckenzie, Audrey
1st – Angus, Matias, Mason
All finals games were very even, with most going to an extra time shoot off.
Well done to all teams. It was great to see the skill level increase over the term.
See you all in term 3 for another fun filled and action packed term! Stay safe.
