Met North Athletics

The City District track and field athletics carnival was held on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th July.

We had two really great days of competition and as always Enoggera students did us proud by getting into their event, trying their best and thanking the other competitors once finished. There were a number of personal bests at the event, and really, against tough competition, that is all I can ask for.

This year, we only have one student going on to represent at the Met North trials. Kai C in the long jump. Kai will be jumping for Met North a little later on in the term and we wish him best of luck in the next stage of competition. Go Kai!!!

A big thanks to Mrs Butwell for helping at the event. She was placed on the boys shot put for two days so lifted lots of weights. Thanks Mrs B!

Volleyball Cup

The Annual Primary Schools Cup is being held at Craigslea State High School on Thursday 29th August.  Students in year 5 & 6 will be busy practicing their skills during PE lessons and lunch time practices in the leadup to the competition.

All students who have nominated to participate in the carnival have now received their permission forms and invoices Please note that permission forms are due back by Thursday 22nd August. If you require a hard copy of the form, please let me know.

Teams for the carnival will be sorted out in the near future.

PE Lessons

It is nice and warm in the sun for most of our PE lessons at the moment. With the nice sunny weather, it is really important that hats are still on heads for PE lessons and break times. There are some classes where over 5 students don’t have their hats. This impacts our time together as we need to sort and organise spare hats.

Can we please ensure all students bring their hat every day. Thanks for supporting your child in being sun safe.
