School Vegetable Garden Harvest

This week students finally harvested the last of our vegetables from the school garden. It is amazing how much you can grow with a simple DIY digital watering system! During the sustainability unit next Term, we will determine the final value of all vegetables harvested throughout the year. After taking out the expenses, like water, mulch, fertilizer and seedlings, it looks like we will make a small profit! The photo is the last of the carrots harvested on Tuesday, 10 September.

We have now begun propagating tree seeds and hopefully soon, the Friends of the School Garden (all families are welcome) will take seedlings, and plant them in and around erosion-prone areas of the city.

Bebras Challenge

The Bebras Thinking Challenge is on again in Term 4. All Wednesday afternoon Coding Club students will be participating in the Quiz. I urge all Years 3-6 students to have at least one try at conquering these modern technical Primary School challenges. More information can be found on the Bebras website.
