Pillar Practice

This fortnight’s Pillar Practice is focussing on the relationship and safety pillars.  The main messages include:

  • Being in the right place at the right time
  • Following the play areas roster
  • Following the rules of play including no rough play and being a good sport

Students will also be reminded of our behaviour management process in the playground which includes:

  1. Warning/Yellow Card in game play
  2. Logical Consequence/Red Card in game play

Students given a red card for unsafe behaviour spend the rest of the immediate break at the office or Reflection Room.

Pizza Party

Thursday 5th December is our Class Celebration Day! Students are expected to come to school in full school uniform.

The student council will be organising a Pizza Party for the class celebration day on Thursday 5th December. Students will need to bring $5 cash in a named envelope and drop it into the office by Friday 29th of November so that we can place the bulk order for the following week.

Students should also bring their lunch box with additional fruit and snacks for during the day. Pizzas will be delivered to classrooms at approximately 11am during class party time in middle session.

During the middle session, all students will attend the finals of Enoggera’s Got Talent in the EPAC.  The afternoon will be spent back in classrooms.

dress_code.jpgUniform Reminder

A reminder that students are required to continue to wear full school uniform for the remainder of the term including class celebration day. This includes black shoes and white socks as per our Dress Code.

There has been a noticeable increase in the number of non-black shoes and colourful socks being worn to school.  We ask parents to support our school dress code by ensuring their children have the correct shoes and socks at all times.

Roll Up Afternoon

On Wednesday 4th December from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, students will be invited to visit their classroom for 2025.  During the afternoon, they will get to meet their new class teacher and their new classmates. If they have a new teacher for 2025, one of our support staff or departing teachers will fill in for the new teacher.

The incoming teacher will be invited to send a short video or PowerPoint or video to introduce themselves and students will complete some activities to get to know their new teacher and classmates.

Free Swim

During Week 10, classes will enjoy a 1-hour free swim session with Mr Woodrick to celebrate the conclusion of swimming lessons and the end of the school year.  Your child’s class teacher will communicate which day your child will need to bring their swimming gear to school.

Most classes will remain at the same time and day, however we do need to make some changes due to Roll Up afternoon.

Enoggera’s Got Talent

Heats have begun for our first Enoggera’s Got Talent.  Last week, we had our musicians and singers perform on Thursday and Friday second break. There were so many other children that came down to support their peers and be entertained by their talents! We had over half the EPAC full of audience members!

Three acts from each heat will be selected to go through to the finals to be held at 12pm on Thursday 5th December in the EPAC.  These students will be informed the following week after their performance, giving the judges time to discuss the decision.

This week, the heats are being held on Friday first and second break due to the Arts on Stage rehearsals occurring in the EPAC all day on Thursday.

Good luck to all our performers. The student response to this new activity has been overwhelming and it is a delight to watch our students shine!

Volunteer Morning Tea

Every year, we are so grateful to the numerous members of our community who volunteer to help the school in a variety of ways. We would like to extend an invitation to any parents and caregivers who have volunteered their time in 2024, to join us for a morning tea to be held in the staffroom at 10am on Wednesday 27th November.  If you are able to attend, please RSVP to admin@enoggerass.eq.edu.au for catering purposes.
