Our school swimming carnivals are scheduled for Week 9 – Monday 25th November and Tuesday 26th November.
Year 3 to Year 6 – Monday 25th November – 9am to 3pm
Prep to Year 2 – Tuesday 26th November – 9am to approx. 1pm
Please make sure that your students have all their swimming gear on those days. In addition, please ensure – adequate lunch and water for the day, school hat, suncream applied for sitting, swimming cap (essential)
Senior Swim Carnival (Years 3 to 6) Year 4, 5 & 6 Students on grandstand and Year 3 opposite the grandstand. Parents on the grassed area under the blue shade cloth and open area towards the canteen. 9.00am Carnival begins Freestyle Events – 50m & 25m Backstroke Events – 50m & 25m 11.00 - 11.15am First Break Lunch (approx.) Breaststroke Events – 50m & 25m Butterfly Events – 50m & 25m 1.00- 1.15pm Second Break Lunch (approx.) Individual Medley Event (5&6 only) Relay Events – Team Events & Student Teacher Events Continuous Relay (Time permitting) Clean Up Presentations |
Junior Swim Carnival (Years Prep – 2) All students in the grandstand area. Parents on the grass area under the blue shade and towards the canteen. 9.00 – 10.15 (approx.) 25m Events (Years 1 & 2 only)
10.15 – 10.30 (approx.) Morning snack – Preps arrive at pool.
10.30 – 12.30 (approx.) Cross pool events (Freestyle, Backstroke, and Noodle Races) (Prep, Year 1 and 2).
12.30 – 1.00pm – Classes changing to return to main school area |
Additional information for Parents/Spectators:
Parents/Spectators are welcome to attend our swimming carnival. We kindly ask that you set up on the grass area on the side of the pool. We do not have the ability to provide seating, so parents, please bring your own chair to the carnivals.
We kindly ask that parents are not permitted at the start or finishing ends of the pool or near the recording area during the day.
We also ask parents for help the organisation of the day by staying in the allocated area and ensuring their children sit with all the students’ group to ensure safe supervision.
