Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Alicia Trevena, and I am Enoggera State School's new Defence Mentor.

I am a Defence spouse of over 18 years and have 3 school aged children. As a family we have experienced several interstate postings, multiple deployments and countless periods of a parents absence due to defence life, including 2 years as an Unaccompanied Resident Family (URF). These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the challenges and effects that Defence life can have on children and families and fuelled my passion to help others that are going through similar experiences.

My role here at Enoggera State School is to support the Defence students and families, as well as advocate on their behalf. I am available for a friendly chat or can provide information on the resources and external services that are available to Defence and veteran families.

I am excited to get to know your children and look forward to meeting the Defence parents of the school. I will be available Monday and Tuesday each week between 10am and 2 pm for the rest of Term 4. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns or require additional support.

If your family has a parent away or is leaving Enoggera State School at the end of this term please let me know so that I can offer additional assistance as required.
