Guidance Officer News
Parenting is often hailed as the most rewarding job you’ll ever do. While this is true most of the time, being a parent is hard work; it’s full of complexities, unexpected challenges, and overwhelming experiences. There are times when we need help to navigate family life and help them to create strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage our children’s behaviour and prevent problems developing. More and more parents understand that it’s okay to ask for help and, in Queensland, positive parenting support to suit every family is free for any parent or carer of a child up to 18 years old. The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is one of the most effective evidence-based parenting programs in the world, backed up by over 35 years of research.
