This term the children have been immersed in learning how to write a character preference. They have been exposed to determined princesses in The Paper Bag Princess, meek mice and scaredy-cats in The Lion Inside and cute and courageous characters in Traction Man to learn about character appearance and traits. Over the next couple of weeks, they will be rehearsing and presenting their preference using speaking skills.

Students have also been exploring toys in design and the forces that move them in science. Some students have had the opportunity to make and test parachutes in preparation for designing their own toys.

In Mathematics, we have been working on efficient strategies for math mentals, representing data into graphs and leaning about space and location on maps.
