Welcome to our new look newsletter. We are now using an on-line format, which will result in more professional and interactive platform for us to share news with you.

Well done to our Wakakirri dancers who put on a special performance at Parliament House. The students and parents were also treated to a tour of the Parliament and afternoon tea. Thank you to Mrs Wilcox, Mrs Leeson and Mrs Kerr for their support on the day and to Mrs Haslam and Mrs Coates for their organisation to make the event run smoothly. The countdown is now on with the National winner announced this Thursday.

We were lucky enough to have a visit this week by a Para Swimmer. Jacob, who is legally blind, has represented Australia in the 2016 Rio Paralympics placing 6th in the 400m freestyle and at the Para Pan Pacs in 2018, winning medals in 5 events. He is aiming to be part of the 2020 Japan Paralympic team. Jacob told us with stories of his challenges, positive attitude and drive to succeed. Thanks Mrs Jardine for organising this inspiring event.

You have probably seen the scaffolding around our buildings. We are looking forward to the painters giving A, B and D blocks a fresh new look in heritage colours. In the meantime there will be some changes to school access points.

We are looking at our 2020 enrolments. If you will be leaving us please let the office know as soon as possible. If you know of anyone wishing to enrol please ask them to phone the office also. Your assistance will help us to ensure a smooth transition into next year.
