Lithium Fire Alert

Recently an extremely worrying trend is posting on TikTok about what happens when a paperclip is inserted into a charge or USB port. Parents and guardians are asked to be especially vigilant at this time as device short-circuits can easily lead to lithium battery fires. These types of fires are extremely difficult to extinguish and may cause horrific burns.

Phone fires can also be caused by people rolling onto their phones in bed, or when a phone is accidentally buried under blankets. Mobile phones heat up and could ignite into fire. Please take care and charge your phone away from the bedroom, under a fire alarm.

Spam Emails

The school recently experienced an email spam. Please pass on my appreciation to your child/ren for reporting and deleting the email. It is pleasing to see that the Enoggera SS  students are following the basic cyber-safety rules.
