Lost property

Term 2 is proving to be an interesting time when it comes to sport and being outside. Right now, the weather is either hot, cold or rainy which is a challenge for everybody. For many students, a jumper is required at the start of the lesson, but is quickly discarded when the activity starts. Any jumpers left behind will be placed in lost property unless it is clearly named and I can return it.

City District Cross Country.

On Friday 2nd May students from years 3-6 participated in the City District Cross Country.  They did incredibly well and pushed themselves very hard against some very strong competition.

Well-done to all the runners. You did yourselves and our school proud.

Elka J ran a fantastic race and placed first in her age group. What a run Elka!!! You now have a difficult decision either running in the Met North or attending camp. We wish you best of luck!

A big thanks to Mr Jason Taylour and Mrs Penny Fitzpatrick who managed the team and helped in the City District tent on the day.

There have also been many City District sport trials happening this term. Rugby, Soccer and Tennis to name a few. Well done to those students who have trialled. Unfortunately as yet, there have been no successful students into those teams.

School PE

We are now well and truly preparing for our athletics carnival. Running, jumping and throwing is our focus.

Parents, can you please ensure your child has their hat for PE. There are a growing number of students without hats for the PE lessons that impacts everyone’s learning. Over the last few weeks way too many students have not had a hat to participate. This is frustrating for our classes as we need to wait longer for students to collect a hat and join us. It would be great if you could help in checking your child has a hat and brings it to school every day.
