Brisbane State High School | Year 7, 2027, Academic Selective Entry Test Day
Brisbane State High School is a public school that is committed to providing opportunity for students. For students who are out-of-catchment, this opportunity comes in the form of selective entry places. We proudly uphold the best of public education values; opportunities to excel regardless of personal circumstance. We believe that partnerships across the whole state school sector provide a network of support and bring richness to the school experience. Selective entry opportunities allow students from a range of disciplines to further develop and grow these talents at our state high school. Enrolment opportunities are now available for current Year 5 students for Year 7, 2027 Academic Selective Entry. Applications close at 4:00pm on Monday 16 June 2025. The Prince of Peace Lutheran College community warmly invite you and the families of Year 3–6 students to attend our upcoming Subjects & Careers Expo on Tuesday, 3 June 2025.
This free event provides a unique opportunity for younger students and their families to explore a wide range of future pathways. With representatives from universities, trade colleges, TAFE, the Australian Federal Police (AFP), and ADF Defence Careers, the Expo is designed to inform and inspire, helping families gain insight into the diverse options available as students move through their schooling years.
The evening will begin with a Special Presentation for families of students in Years 3–7 at 4:30pm, followed by sessions tailored to senior students. From 5:30pm, the Main Expo will be in full swing, featuring stalls hosted by leading tertiary institutions, industry training providers, and career-focused organisations. Families can also visit our Subject Stands to explore Year subjects in more detail, with staff available to answer subject-specific questions and offer guidance. Food trucks will be onsite from 4:30pm to add to the community atmosphere.
We extend this invitation to your school community regardless of where students intend to complete their secondary education. The Expo is a welcoming and informative event for all families interested in learning more about future education and career pathways.
