Principal's Pen
It has been a privilege to work alongside staff and parents over the past weeks, as we prepared for students to continue learning. There have been some frustrations as we have navigated new ways of learning, but overall there has been an air of positivity and optimism. There has also been some innovative programs developed by teachers and creative delivery of learning by parents.
We are looking forward to having students back at school, however I am waiting for the official Department of Education advice rather than speculating about the many ideas we are hearing through the media. I will advise parents and families of any advice or decisions as soon as they are received from the Department. In the interim, the advice remains that only children of parents working outside the home are able to attend school.
Thank you to the many parents and carers who have spoken to school staff, emailed or sent a text - your comments and feedback have been appreciated. Thank you also to parents who have shared photos and stories for inclusion on our Enoggera State School Facebook page. It has been such a joy to see the fabulous activities going on at home. Keep those stories coming to keepingessconnected@enoggerass.eq.edu.au One common feedback received from parents is that children are not getting work completed. It’s fine not to get through all the work provided as teachers will be reviewing key concepts when students return to school.
To those who were able to connect for one of our iSee sessions – I hope your children enjoyed them as much as teachers did. If you struggled to connect to iSee, please let us know by emailing Anita ( acoat35@eq.edu.au ) with screen shots of any errors or issues and we will endeavour to provide some IT support. Please understand that our Technical Officer is only available two days per week so support won’t be instantaneous. Teachers will be emailing you about further iSee sessions in the coming days as we include this new technology into our teaching and learning.
