P&C News
Dear ESS families,
We hope you are doing ok with the current health guidelines and their restrictions.
In this unprecedented time we have been working to keep the P&C ticking over and will continue to do so. We are hoping to run our AGM by the end of term (online) and will keep you updated and ensure plenty of notice is given if it goes ahead.
We want to thank the Staff at ESS for helping guide our children through this time. The current framework for their education is new and we understand it takes a lot of work behind the scenes to set up and roll out. We appreciate that you too may be learning new skills in order to work this way and we thank you for your diligence and commitment to our children’s education. We also thank you for ensuring that for those of us who struggle to facilitate these kind of lessons at home, that the message has been clear that there are many ways and activities for children to learn, and that they are all relevant and enough.
We look forward to re-connecting in person when it is safe to do so.
EVENTS
Due to the current health climate we have postponed our events taking place over the next couple of months.
Mother’s Day Stall has been cancelled and all goods donated and made will be held over for the 2021 stall. We thank our stall convenors for their many hours of preparation and care given to creating, sourcing and packaging gifts for the special women in our student’s lives.
Steve Biddulph raising Girls/Boys seminars have been cancelled. Tickets will be refunded, please check your email for further details.
Susan McLean- Cyber safety seminar has been postponed. As with most events we are looking to reschedule to a later date but will need some time to coordinate with Susan and her team.
We will be rolling all ticket sales over to the new date but in the meantime should you wish to proceed with a refund please let us know.
If you are unavailable to attend the new date you will be able to get a refund.
Crazy Colour School Fun Run has been postponed and we are looking at possible dates for Term 3. Ideally we will run this event as soon as possible and look forward to celebrating with you all once it is safe to do so.
CONTAINERS FOR CHANGE
WE NEED YOUR CONTAINERS
Unsure which drink containers to bring to the school?
Just check the back of the bottles for the 10c refund symbol. If the 10c refund is noted on the bottle they can be collected and brought to the school for disposal in big the purple bins.
For a full break down of the included and excluded containers, please follow this link to the Containers for Change website: how-it-works.
Unsure how to collect your containers?
You can collect your containers using whatever you like! There is no need to have special bags for the collection. Just put your containers in a bucket, tub, storage container or even an old shopping bag and when it is full, put it in the boot of your car and empty the containers into the purple bins located at the front and back of the school between 7am and 3pm. It's that easy.
Remember to only dispose of eligible containers and not rubbish.
Our school scheme ID is C10051863
