Dance Performance Team
Our Dance Performance Team has been working harder than ever, creating a brand-new routine that we hope to showcase at Arts on Stage in Term 4! I couldn’t be prouder of our students and the incredible success they have had in their very first season of competitions for Enoggera.
This season, our dancers have already achieved some amazing results:
3rd Place – Respect (Jazz) at both the Sunshine Coast Dance Eisteddfod and the Beenleigh Dance Eisteddfod
Very Highly Commended – Respect (Jazz) at the Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge and Ashes (Contemporary) at the Sunshine Coast Dance Eisteddfod
Highly Commended – Ashes (Contemporary) at the Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge
With so much talent, passion, and team spirit, we can’t wait to see what they bring to the stage next!
Arts on Stage Save the Date
Our Arts on Stage Performance will be held on Thursday 27th November. Ensembles involved in the performance include Vocal Performance Team, Dance Performance Team, Senior Strings, Chamber Strings, Junior Strings, Concert Band, Senior Choir, Junior Choir, Recorder Band, Boys Crew, Red Dance, Green Dance and Purple Dance.
More information regarding our Arts on Stage Performance will be out soon. Please keep an eye out for your emails.
Vocal Performance Team
Our Vocal Performance Team attended Singfest last Thursday at Wavell State High School. We had a fantastic day working with other schools under the direction of Kylie Los and Justine Favell. We worked on repertoire during the specialised vocal workshop that we had practiced in our school rehearsals during the year. The day concluded with a spectacular concert performing all of the prepared repertoire for parents and school leaders.
Dance Ensembles, Choirs & Recorder
Please ensure students are attending all rehearsals. Students are now preparing for Arts on Stage in Term 4. It's important that students are attending all rehearsals as we still have many students not turning up when they are at school. Please encourage students to practise at home. Many of the groups are nearly finished their items and if they are ready, they may have the opportunity to perform at assembly. More information regarding this will be sent home over the coming weeks. Keep practising!
Strings & Band
Students are still forgetting to bring their instrumentals to their lessons. Please ensure you bring your instrument each week and take it home at the end of the day. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays many instruments are left behind in EPAC. Students must take their instruments home.
Musical 2026
On Monday during assembly some of our wonderful Year 6 students took part in a flash mob to announce our 2026 Whole School Musical. Enoggera State School Presents... Madagascar Jnr
All students from Years Prep to Year 6 can be involved. The process will be similar to our last musical. We will be auditioning for leads roles first. Leads audition are for students currently in Years 3 -5. We will be holding an audition workshop and information session for students in Week 9 on Thursday 8am in EPAC. Auditions for leads will be held Term 4 Week 1/2. More information will be sent home soon.
Whether you want to sing, dance and act on stage or assist with the backstage crew there's a role for everyone. We can't wait to bring this show to life!
