Important: Blue Card changes affecting schools – from 20 Sept 2025
From 20 September 2025, changes to Queensland’s Blue Card system affect how schools engage staff, volunteers, and service providers. Here's what you need to know:
What's Changed?
- External providers now need Blue Cards
Anyone delivering education-related services inside the school (e.g. music tutors, sports programs, religious instructors) must hold a Blue Card if children are present.
- If they were working before 20 Sept, they have until 20 March 2026 to apply.
Parents volunteering at school activities don’t need a Blue Card if:
- It’s for an activity their own child is involved in
- It’s not overnight
- They don’t provide intimate care (e.g. toileting)
A Blue Card is required however if these conditions aren’t met.
- Non-teaching staff need Blue Cards
Staff like teacher aides, admin, cleaners, and bus drivers must hold a Blue Card, unless they’re registered teachers.
What Should You Do?
- Parents – Check if your volunteer activity needs a Blue Card.
- Staff – Confirm your Blue Card is current.
- Providers – Apply if you're delivering services inside the school.

Thanks for helping us keep our school community safe.
WHOLE SCHOOL PIZZA PARTY
The student council will be organising a Pizza Party for the annual class celebration day on Thursday 11th of December. Students will need to bring $5 cash in a named envelope and with their class, to the office by Friday 28th November so that we can place the bulk order - please ensure any dietary requirements are also noted on this envelope (flavour choices are not accepted). Students should also bring their lunch box with additional fruit and snacks for during the day.
Pizzas will be delivered to classrooms at approximately 11am during the Pizza Party class party time in the middle session.
QPARENTS – Your Link to School Updates
A friendly reminder to all parents and caregivers: QParents is now our main communication channel for sharing important school information, including permission forms and invoices.
To stay up to date and avoid missing key messages or deadlines, we encourage all families to register for QParents as soon as possible.
Please note: Families who are not registered will need to collect paper copies of forms and notices directly from the school office.
Thank you for helping us create a more efficient and environmentally conscious way to stay connected!
LOST PROPERTY – Now Back After the Holidays!
We’re happy to announce that all lost property items, which were safely stored over the holidays, are now back and available for collection. Our Lost Property area (located just below the administration office, near the uniform shop) is once again ready for you to check for any misplaced items — socks, hats, jumpers, and more.
If your child is missing something, please encourage them to visit the Lost Property area as soon as possible to reclaim their belongings.
A heartfelt thank you again to our wonderful parent volunteers for keeping everything organised — your help is truly appreciated!
CONTAINERS FOR CHANGE – TERM 4 DONATIONS WELCOME!
Got bottles and cans piling up? Put them to good use and help our school at the same time!
Through the Containers for Change Schools Program, every eligible container you donate helps raise funds for Enoggera State School, while also teaching our students the value of sustainability.
Simply take your containers to any official drop-off point and use our school code: C11523111.
Let’s keep turning recycling into real benefits for our school — every container makes a difference. Thank you for your ongoing support!
As we kick off Term 4, we want to thank our amazing school community for your continued support. Here’s to a great term ahead!
