This is a new and exciting era for our school. As part of our School Improvement Agenda, all staff have been working towards developing clear opportunities for students to build ICT capabilities. With the establishment of the computer lab and class access to iPads and laptops, students are gaining more confidence, knowledge, understanding and skills in this area. We are striving towards developing contemporary and effective learner for the 21st Century!
Coding Club
We continue to be at full capacity in the computer lab on Wednesday’s first break. Students have worked their way through some awesome coding challenges on the site, code.org. We also had our first Prep students! Thank you to our more senior students who demonstrated great leadership in guiding these young pupils through their first steps.
Next term, Coding Club will become STEM Club. Students will be presented a task in which to problem solve. The tasks will endeavour to challenge students in areas of STEM – Science, Technologies, Engineering and Maths. All students are welcome to attend in our larger space, EPAC!
