Wakakirri News
It is sad news from headquarters:
Wakakirri is only able to offer a live event to Victorian Secondary and Dance schools in 2020. ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, WA Schools: Live events for Primary and Secondary schools have been cancelled for 2020. Wakakirri will return in 2021 across Australia in its normal capacity.

In light of this new information, ESS are proposing the following, we will:
- continue with our Wakakirri enrichment program in Terms 3 &4 on Friday afternoons culminating in a school performance at Arts on Stage (Term 4, Friday November 13th 6pm)
- credit or reimburse families for the payment fee of $50
- develop this year’s story dance for Wakakirri Live 2021.
We feel it is important to provide our Year 6 students with an opportunity to perform and showcase their hard work. As said in previous newsletters, regardless of Wakakirri’s decision on live performances, we had always intended to work towards our own community performance at Arts on Stage (pending Covid-19 restrictions).
We are still after donations of reused plastic bags of any size –grey or green in colour, and soft toys larger than 20cm in length. If you can assist, please place the donated items in the Wakakirri box at the front office.
