What a great week we had celebrating BOOK WEEK. 

Monday saw our annual BOOK WEEK parade. There were some very creative costumes from both staff and students and prizes were awarded to the top library borrowers from each class. Congratulations to Ellia S, Ollie K, Liam H, Kenzie P, Subrat R, Heidi F, Noah M, Layla G, Edmond C, Olivia V, Adelyn B, Maggie M, Scarlett T, Kate S and Elk J. Thank you to everyone who participated and made the event enjoyable and we hope you enjoyed all of the photos of the event on our Facebook page.

During the week our Year 1 classes made their own CURIOUS CREATURES and had them asking questions using their WILD MINDS. Some of them are being displayed in the library.

At lunchtimes we have also been busy making our own curious creature while having fun using our own WILD MINDS.

In Week 6 is our much anticipated Book Fair. The year’s theme is

The Fair will be open Friday 6^th November until Wednesday 11^th November from 8.15 until 8.45 in the mornings and from 3.05 until 3.30 in the afternoons. Only students will be able to visit the fair. In the past we have offered parents the opportunity to attend an evening BOOK FAIR event. However, due to the current COVID restrictions this will have to be revised and will we will send out information closer to the date.

E Books Digital Library - Now Available!

All Enoggera State School students have now been registered to borrow eBooks from the eBooks Digital Library until 31 December 2020.

The eBooks Digital Library contains over 40,000 eBooks and audiobooks; including fiction and non-fiction reading material for students, which you can borrow and read 24/7 at home, at school, on your PC, laptop or mobile device.   You can also access the collection by downloading the free Sora app on your mobile device.

This collection of eBooks includes easy readers, comic and graphic books, science fiction and fantasy resources.   Please take the time to look through the huge selection of books that are available for students to read and for you to read to your child.

The 2020 Premier's Reading Challenge has now finished and the students who completed the challenge will have their efforts recognised through the receipt of a Certificate of Achievement signed by the Premier of Queensland in the coming months.

As we are quickly coming to the end of the year we would ask if everyone could please look for any overdue books. As we borrowed out extras to a lot of the students prior to our COVID interruption, there are many still overdue since March. We appreciate your help in this matter.
