Book Fair Enjoyment
It has been wonderful to see the Book Fair being enjoyed by so many of our students. Every morning the library has been a buzz of energy as children look at and select book to purchase. A big thank you must go to Shannon Green who has organised and supervised the whole event. It is evident that it is something that the children really enjoy and what a great way to encourage a love of reading by all.
Prep Transition Afternoon – Thursday 12th November
Tomorrow we welcome half of our 2021 Prep cohort into the school for their transition day. This days aims to foster a positive connection to Enoggera State School and gives children the opportunity to work and play in a Prep classroom and meet our Prep teachers. Parents will hear messages from the school leadership team regarding starting school and daily life at Enoggera. I look forward to welcoming these families tomorrow.
The other half of the cohort will attend their transition afternoon on Thursday 26th November.
Student Code of Conduct
Enoggera State School is committed to providing a safe, respectful and disciplined learning environment for all students, staff, parents and visitors.
We are currently working on the development of our Student Code of Conduct, which sets out the responsibilities and processes we use in our school to promote a productive, effective whole school approach to discipline.
Its purpose is to facilitate high standards of behaviour from all in the school community, ensuring learning and teaching in our school is prioritised; where all students are able to experience success and staff enjoy a safe workplace.
As part of the community consultation process, we are looking to gain parent feedback around our school culture and how we currently enact our school wide Responsible Behaviour Plan. A questionnaire has been developed by the Principal for students, staff and parents to complete. Data from these questionnaires will then be shared and discussed in order to identify next steps. A draft of the Student Code of Conduct will be published in the school newsletter for all community members to read and give further comment on before a final copy is endorsed by the P&C and School Council.
School Council Meeting
Due to not having a quorum on Monday afternoon this week, we have rescheduled the School Council Meeting to Monday 16th November at 3:15pm in the Staff Room.
Carol's Return
We look forward to welcoming Carol back from her extended leave and to hearing about all of her travel adventures. I have very much enjoyed my time here at Enoggera SS and will continue to work here, in a Deputy Principal role, alongside Carol for the rest of the term. I am thrilled to be able to continue to work at this great school.

School Sport offers opportunities for students aged 10 -19 years to compete in many popular sports such as hockey, softball, football, AFL, basketball, baseball, volleyball and netball.
