LIBRARY NEWS
Welcome back to our final term of 2021. Is anyone else wondering where this year has gone? It feels like just yesterday we were doing library borrowing with this year’s Prep students for the first time.
As always, we have another big term ahead of us in the library.
PREMIER’S READING CHALLENGE
Congratulations to all of the students who completed the Premier’s Reading Challenge and returned their forms. We have now received the certificates signed by the Premier and Mrs Robinson will issue them to the students in class this week.
A special mention to Year 2A who had the highest number of participants this year. 18 out of their 20 students completed and returned their forms. Mrs Robinson will also issue you with your small class reward. A job well done.
Thank you to everyone who embraced the CHALLENGE to read.
BOOK FAIR
Every year, our Scholastic Book Fair is a much-anticipated event on the school calendar. This year’s event will run from Friday 12th November to Wednesday 17th November with our night viewing on Tuesday 16th November. The theme is “READING OASIS – A Cool Place to Discover Hot Books.” More details will follow in the next newsletter.
OVERDUE BOOKS
As the end of the year is fast approaching, it would be much appreciated if you would help your child locate any overdue library books or home readers and return them to the library or classroom teacher ASAP. If you are unable to locate any books or you know that they may have been lost, could you please contact the school to organise payment for the replacement of the books. Thank you so much for your assistance.
