Sports News
The end of year is quickly approaching and we are working on completing our preparations for our final assessments and events. The weather is also causing a lot of uncertainty on a daily basis around which activities we are able to complete. To support our program, please make sure that you are sending anything required for PE to school with your students. We monitor the prevailing conditions at the time to decide whether an activity can be safely completed or needs to be cancelled.
There will be times where we will be able to complete an activity with one class, then need to cancel for the next, or visa versa. While weather forecasts provide us with a guide as to what to expect and allow us to plan for multiple options, we often find that its about the timing of the weather event. This is particularly true for our swimming term – just because rain is forecast, it does not mean it is unsafe to swim and the activity may still continue in a light shower, however, we will withdraw students from this situation where there is a lightning storm around for safety reasons.
