Dear Parents and Caregivers,
LEARNING CURVE
This week the Learning Curve focus is from the ‘Accomplishment and Optimism’ category. The wellbeing skill builder is ‘About my Brain’ for Prep to Year 2 and ‘Using Both Brain Sides’ for the Year 3 to 6 classes. The Junior idea is about learning that student brains have two sides and that they learn much better when they use both sides of their brain. The Senior topic takes it further to learn what the sides of the brain do and to challenge them to use both sides to improve their learning.
These concepts were introduced in the Health lessons with Miss Dunstan this week and on assembly and will be followed up in classrooms. Our Year 3 to 6 students continue to track their progress in their Learning Curve diaries. The parent newsletter is attached below.
STAFFING
Our School’s Officer, Reynaldo Delatorre is continuing on with workcover after an injury at work and will soon be commencing his gradual return-to-work. Mr Ian Lenane is continuing on behind him during this time.
A/HOSES, Belinda Paton is also off on workcover after an injury at work. We anticipate her return on August 15, also on a return-to-work program. Currently Eliza Kelly is backfilling her.
Administation Officer, Tory Rawlinson is on Long Service Leave commencing next week until August 13 and Mrs Donagh McKenzie (Success Teacher for 5/6) will take Long Service Leave from August 7 until August 19. Miss Tamara Dowling (5/6C) will be on Long Service Leave from August 25 for the reminder of the term. Both Miss Dowling and Mrs McKenzie will be backfilled by Eliza Kelly during this time. Teacher Aide, Mrs Ainsley Butwell is also on Long Service Leave from August 15 for the rest of the term. Ms Sharon Ivory will be replacing Mrs Butwell.
NAPLAN REPORTS
Last week the NAPLAN reports for our Year 3 and 5 students who sat NAPLAN earlier this year were distributed to parents. These reports will also be added digitally to One School for future reference, but as yet have not been uploaded by the DoE. If you need a digital record of the report in the interim we suggest that you scan your hard copy report and keep it for your own records.
Now that the data has returned to school, the leadership team will be spending some time analysing the data and unpacking it with classroom teachers to inform future teaching and learning and preparation activities.
PREP ENROLMENTS
This coming Friday morning, July 25 from 9am to 11am we will hold our final Open Morning for the year. If you know of families who live in our catchment and are hoping to come here next year, please let them know of the next Open Day. Families who have made their decision can drop in enrolment forms to the office at any stage to enable us to get them on the system and into the communication channels for 2026.
Bookings for Prep enrolment interviews will open after the next newsletter is published. Information about how to book an interview will be made available in the last three weeks of this term and the first week of Term 4. These bookings will be made via our School Online Booking program (SOBS). Unfortunately, any out-of-catchment enrolments can only be considered after these interviews and in-catchment enrolment numbers are confirmed.
PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
It was lovely to see a hive of activity in EPAC on Tuesday evening, at the final Parent Teacher Interviews scheduled for this year. It was positive to see parents collaborating with teachers to discuss student progress in Semester One and to create learning goals for this semester.
Bookings were down a little on Semester One interviews at 68% of slots or a total of 287 interviews being conducted on the evening this time, which is still very positive data and a testament to the interest and support our parents and caregivers place on their students’ education.
YEAR 6 GRADUATION
Just a reminder to parents of Year 6 that the school is organising the ceremony and the social function again this year as a sanctioned school event. Due to increased numbers to fit into EPAC and bookings already on EPAC we will not hold the event in EPAC this year, however we are currently getting quotes for external venues and entertainment to hold the event. The Graduation Ceremony will be in EPAC at 9am on Thursday 11th December along with the social function (Dinner/Disco) for parents, students and staff, which will be held that night. More details will be available later this term as details are confirmed and booked. There will be an opportunity for parents of our graduating students to get involved later on to assist with some jobs such as decorations and activities on the night.
OPINION SURVEY
It is that time of the year again when the DoE conducts the annual School Opinion Survey of parents and students across all DoE schools. All parents, students and staff should receive a direct link to their email box to conduct the survey. These emails were distributed from July 21 through to July 25. The survey links are individual links and are open from July 28 until August 22. The data from these surveys is collated by the DoE and shared with schools at the end of the year to inform planning for the following school year.
COLLABORATIVE SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT
This week on Tuesday morning, I had the pleasure of visiting Newmarket SS as part of our Principal Collaborative School Improvement program with our School Supervisor. It was wonderful to see what the other participating schools are doing around the roll out and implementation of the V9 Reading changes to glean ideas that can be used at our school. I was lucky enough to visit two Prep classes at Newmarket on the morning to watch the explicit teaching of a phonics lesson.
Then on Wednesday morning we hosted a visit from Oxley State School around our Instructional Leadership Collaborative Learning Community we are part of with our School Improvement Coach. Members of the leadership team from Oxley participated in class visits here around our Learning Walls and Writing Goals. We went into 2A, 3C and 5/6C to talk to students around these topics. The feedback from the visitors was very positive, with our students able to articulate clearly the focus of their English learning for this term and what they would be focussing on to achieve their writing goals. They were also most impressed with our lovely school and the very positive and calm vibe they got upon entering the school. They were most impressed with the manners and the focus in the classrooms we visited. Much thanks to Mr Linn, Mrs Jones and Miss Dowling for hosting the visitors.
On the same day, Mrs Burrows and I participated in an online session following up from the morning visit to share our progress and findings thus far. We will be attending Mary St in the city later this term for a final full day of reflection around the learning community.
Mrs Anne Robinson
Principal
Welcome back to the new term. I hope that you all had a lovely holiday with your families over the break. It is sure to be another fantastic term of learning and fun at Enoggera State School with the Book Week Parade, Science Week, Year Level Excursions, Volleyball Cup, and the Spelling Bee.
Our first assembly was a great celebration of the students in our school with lots of awards and certificates presented to students for Student of the Week, Enoggera Earthworm Certificate and Mathletics.
A reminder that there are two days that our school is closed this term:
Wednesday 13th August for the EKKA holiday
Friday 5th September for a departmental Student Free Day.
Stationery Restock
As we begin Semester Two, please check with your child or your child’s teacher if they need any stationery items to be restocked! It is surprising how quickly students go through their pencils, erasers and colours with all the learning activities that they complete every day. As always, please ensure that all items are individually named clearly to assist your child to manage their belongings. This is the same for items of clothing, shoes and hats.
If items are clearly labelled, it is more likely that they will be found and returned to your child. Before coming to the office to ask about lost property, please check the lost property shelf near the uniform shop under A Block.
As the weather remains cold over the winter months, a reminder that students are required to either wear a school jacket available at the uniform shop (open Friday morning from 8am); or a plain jumper in a school blue colour. Students are not permitted to wear hoodies or jumpers with any printing or designs on them. Girls are permitted to wear blue stockings (or black if blue is unavailable). All students can also wear plain school blue tracksuit pants. A reminder that girls should be wearing suitable earrings and headbands to school. Headbands should be in school colours and earrings should be limited to plains studs.
This Dress Code was developed collaboratively with the school community and supports the wearing of a school uniform to promote a sense of belonging and school pride. It also promotes a supportive environment fostering mutual respect among individuals at school by minimising visible evidence of economic, class or social difference. Thank you for your support of our School Dress Code.
Our school has a very active Facebook page with daily posts to keep our school community informed of what is happening in our school. Our events are posted throughout the term to allow parents time to be prepared for the term ahead. Click on the more tab and then the events tab in the dropdown menu to go to our events.
The more you interact with the page by liking and commenting on posts, the more our page will appear in your newsfeed. A reminder that Facebook is not the best platform to ask questions that you need immediate or urgent replies to, as we don’t always see questions in the comment sections of a post. This is best done by emailing the teacher/admin or calling the office. Facebook is also not a site for posting complaints or negative comments about staff or school processes. If you have some constructive feedback for the school or an issue that you would like to raise, we would respectfully ask that you make an appointment to speak with the Principal to discuss your concerns. Any inappropriate or derogatory comments will be removed from the platform.
Pillar Practice
This fortnight, our Pillar Practice is around the pillars of safety and relationships and focuses on not physically hurting others. While acknowledging that it is okay to be angry, the message is clear that hitting, pushing, kicking and scratching is not an okay way to deal with our anger. We explicitly teach our students other strategies for dealing with anger including:
Walking Away
Breathing
Having a drink of water
Asking an adult for help
Using the High 5
Counting to Ten
Stop and Think

The Student Council is meeting this week for their first meeting of Term 3. This term, the Student Council will continue to fundraise for their legacy item by running two fundraisers.
- Spell-a-thon – Money due by Friday 15th August
- Subway Meal Deal – Tuesday 16th September
The Charity being supported by the Student Council this term is the the Pyjama Foundation that supports Kids in Care. Students will be able to wear their pyjamas (with their school shoes and hat) to school on Friday 1st August and donate a gold coin to this charity.
Thank you for your support of the Student Council.
100 Days of Prep
On Wednesday 23rd July, our Preppies celebrated a milestone – 100 days of Prep! We congratulate our preppies on all the hard work they have done with their learning over the past 100 days.
Book Week
We are celebrating Book Week 2025 with our Book Week Parade on Friday 22nd August. This event is for all year levels and parents and caregivers are welcome to attend. Weather depending, the Book Parade will take place on the multi-purpose court. In the case of rain, it will be moved to the EPAC.
Deputy on Leave
I would like to take this opportunity to let the school community know that I will be having some time off on sick leave as I will be recovering from surgery to have one of my kidneys removed. This has been a long-term condition that now requires this surgery. My last day will be on Wednesday 30th July and I am hoping to return to work for the last 3 weeks of term from Monday 1st September depending on my recovery. I look forward to seeing everyone again upon my return.

Follow-Up on Unexplained Student Absences
This week, letters have been sent home with students who have unexplained absences recorded on their attendance. These absences currently do not have a reason listed.
If you receive one of these letters, we kindly ask that you complete the form with a reason for your child’s absence and return it to the school office as soon as possible.
Accurate attendance records are important for student wellbeing and for meeting school reporting requirements. Your prompt response helps us ensure our records are up to date and supports ongoing communication between home and school.
QPARENTS – Stay Connected and Informed
We kindly remind all parents and caregivers that QParents is now the primary platform for receiving school communications, including consent forms and invoices.
To ensure you don’t miss any important information or deadlines, we strongly encourage all families to register for QParents as soon as possible.
If you choose not to sign up for QParents, please be aware that you will need to visit the school office regularly to collect any hard copy consent forms or notices.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us streamline communication and support a more efficient, environmentally friendly process.
REMINDER: Spellathon Forms & Timeline
A friendly reminder that Spellathon forms were due back to the office on Friday, 18th July. Even if your child has not collected any sponsors, we still require the forms to be returned for auditing purposes.
Spelling tests will take place in class this week. After testing, the office will calculate the amount to be collected based on your child’s results and fill this in on the sponsorship form. These forms will then be returned to students to begin collecting sponsor donations.
Please ensure all money is collected and returned to the office by Friday, 15th August.
The Student Council sincerely thanks you for your continued support of this important fundraising event!
LOST PROPERTY
Our Lost Property area – just under the administration office, outside the uniform shop – is overflowing with misplaced socks, school hats, and those vanishing jumpers. If your child is missing something, please encourage them to stop by before the end of this week.
Please remember to clearly name your childs belongings, this helps items return to their rightful owner.
A huge thank you to the amazing parents who help keep things organised – we could not do it without you!
SPARE UNIFORMS & UNDERWEAR – A LITTLE BACKUP GOES A LONG WAY!
A quick reminder to all our Prep and Year 1 families: please make sure your child has a full set of spare clothes in their school bag each day – including underwear. Sometimes little accidents happen, and having a change of clothes on hand helps keep our students comfortable and ready to learn.
If your child has borrowed any spare clothing from the office recently, we kindly ask that these items be returned as soon as possible. Our supply is running low, and we would love to restock for any future needs.
We are gratefully accepting donations of new underwear, as these items cannot be reused once worn. Thank you so much for your support in helping us care for all our students!
CONTAINERS FOR CHANGE – TURN TRASH INTO TREASURE!
Did you know Queenslanders use around 3 billion drink containers every year? That is a lot of bottles and cans – but thanks to Containers for Change, we can give them a second life and help our environment at the same time.
The Containers for Change Schools Program is a fun and easy way for schools like ours to raise funds while teaching students about the power of recycling. It is a win-win for our planet and our school community.
If you have been collecting bottles and cans at home, you can support Enoggera State School by donating your containers. Just drop them off at any official Containers for Change collection point and use our school code: C11523111
Thanks for helping us make a difference – every container counts!
HUNGRY TUMMIES & EMERGENCY LUNCHES
As the cooler weather sets in and appetites grow, a friendly reminder to pack a little extra food in your child’s lunchbox if possible – especially during winter! We have noticed some students are finishing their food early and feeling hungry before the end of the day.
On the odd occasion when lunch is forgotten, we do have emergency food supplies available at school, generously donated by Camp Australia and Foodbank. We are so grateful for their support. Sandwiches will always be prioritised over snacks to ensure students receive a filling and nutritious option.
If families could please ensure students come to school with enough food each day, it would also help reduce the demand on our admin team during busy break times.
Thanks for your support in keeping all our students happy, healthy, and ready to learn!
SCHOOL CLEANER WANTED – JOIN OUR TEAM!
We are currently looking for a school cleaner to join the Enoggera State School team for 20 hours per week. Ideally, the position will be Monday to Friday in a split shift (e.g. morning and afternoon).
This is an entry-level position, so a full recruitment process isn’t required. If you or someone you know might be interested, please get in touch with me directly via email emast27@eq.edu.au – I would love to hear from you!
PAPER & TISSUES – A FRIENDLY REMINDER
As part of each student's book list, families are asked to provide 1 ream of white A4 paper and 1 box of tissues. These essential supplies help support classroom activities and shared resources across the school.
It has come to our attention that many families who purchased book packs independently (rather than through our preferred supplier, Bedrock Books) may have missed these items.
A follow-up email will be sent out to those families shortly. If you still have these items at home, we kindly ask that they be handed in to the office, as our current supplies are running low.
We're also very grateful for any additional donations of paper or tissues – every bit helps!
Thank you for your ongoing support and generosity!

Creating a Calm Morning Routine
Mornings can often feel rushed and chaotic — especially when everyone is trying to get out the door on time. A calm, consistent routine helps children start the school day feeling safe, organised, and ready to learn. Here are some simple strategies to make mornings smoother for your family.
Start the Night Before
Lay out uniforms and pack bags in the evening, and pack any sports or after-school activity outfits, gear, etc. This will save a lot of time in the morning. Prepare lunchboxes ahead of time if possible. Set a regular bedtime that allows for 9–11 hours of sleep, depending on your child’s age. The guidelines below are for every day (24 hours)
- 3-5 years: 10-13 hours of sleep (including naps, if needed) with consistent sleep and wake times
- 5-13 years: 9-11 hours of uninterrupted sleep
- 14-17 years: 8-10 hours of uninterrupted sleep
For more information on the importance of sleep, click on the following link
https://www.childrens.health.qld.gov.au/health-a-to-z/healthy-sleep
Set a consistent wake-up time
Establish a regular wake-up hour, especially on weekends, as consistency is crucial. Having a set wake-up time helps regulate your child's internal clock, making it easier for them to wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. Build in a buffer so your child isn’t rushed. This gives them space to move at their pace which especially important for young children.
Create a Visual Routine Chart
Young children benefit from seeing what’s next. A simple chart with pictures (e.g. brush teeth, eat breakfast, get dressed) can build independence and reduce the need for constant reminders. Make a visual schedule for your child that includes stickers or photos to help them follow the routine. A visual schedule can make the routine more engaging and easier for children to understand and follow. It can include images or icons representing each activity, making it fun and interactive for them.
Give your kids the freedom to pick their activities and give them ownership over the routine. Involving your child in the planning process helps them feel more invested and excited about their morning routine. It also teaches them decision-making skills and responsibility. Let your kids help develop and modify the routine to promote ownership and buy-in.
Add a Moment of Calm
Lead from example, if you are feeling rushed then this may create anxiety and tension. Keeping calm will help the morning flow a bit easier; try playing soft music or using a calming diffuser. A cuddle and kind words can ground a child emotionally. Avoid yelling or rushing. Use positive reinforcement like, “I love how you’re getting ready all by yourself” to keep things moving in a supportive way. Not every morning will be perfect — and that’s okay. Some days will be tricky, and children (and adults!) may need extra time, patience, or support.

Welcome back to another busy term in sport.
Last week to help with our NAIDOC events, in PE we focused on a range of traditional indigenous games. We learnt about and played Kai, Gorri, Wulijini and Buroinjin.
Congratulations to 3B who won our Kai challenge. As a class they were able to keep the ball up in the air for a very impressive 8 times. Well done 3B!!!
Below: 5/6A enjoying the sun and a game of Kai
City District Track and Field Carnivals
Our first event for the term is the City District Track and Field Trials to be held on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th July. Winners of events at our Athletics carnival in Term 2 have been invited to attend over the two competition days providing they were able to reach benchmarked times and heights.
We wish all the competitions the best of luck for their events. We are all behind you!
Keep an eye on the upcoming newsletter for a team photos and notable results.
Volleyball Cup
During Term 3 we will also attend the Annual Primary Schools Cup with teams of students from Year 5 & 6 to participate in this event at Craigslea State High School. Parents have been asked to express an interest in this event to help in controlling the number of teams and players we need to nominate.
This event will be held on Thursday 21st August.
We will start some lunchtime practices from this week.

Sustainability News
Welcome back to Term 3. This term Sustainability activities will happen during the second break, every weekday. These meetings will be held under D-Block and Mrs Kent would love students from Years 3, 4 and 5 to join her and become our environmental leaders. This is a great chance for students to demonstrate leadership through actively 'doing.'
The weekly program is as follows:
Monday – Weekly learning and recycling focus outline.
Tuesday – Gardening
Our new plants are growing and our strawberry flowers are turning into ripening fruit, also, our beetroot and snow peas are growing really well. We are now starting to find food that is ready to eat. Mr Harris’ watering system is up and running which is really helping the plants grow.
Wednesday – Worm Farm. We now have 5 active worm farms and the students lunch waste is not quite producing anough food for our worms. Please remember to send in a bag of worm food every Wednesday to help our starving worms.
Congratulations Enoggera State School. We won the competition by recycling 19kg of soft plastics. What an incredible achevement!
As our prize, the school will be receiving: 1 x Garden Bed (valued at up to $398.18 AUD) and 1 x $50 Bunnings voucher. Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported our school in this competition.
Student helpers are needed to support the younger students with learning about the recycling process. We are still finding contaminants in the bins (rotten food and general waste) so helpers will be taught the correct process and then can support the younger students to learn. If possible, could parents demonstrate how to prepare the drink container for recycling. The process is: Drink all your drink, throw the straw or lid in the rubbish bin, place the very empty drink container in the recycling bin.
Families! Do you have containers eligible to be recycled for 10cents? If you are not making claims, please send your empties to us. Last term we recycled over three 240L bins.
We hope to see as many students as possible engaging in our sustainability activities. Every little bit helps.

Last term in English Year One students learned about and wrote informative texts about different animals! In Science they learned about the needs of living things and how different places meet these needs.
We had a special incursion where Ocean Life came to visit. This incursion supported students in making connections with ideas, experiences and knowledge about ocean animals. It provided them with interesting facts about ocean animals and adaptions animals make to suit their habitats. This incursion was extremely engaging. Students really enjoyed seeing and touching the animals in real life and learning more about how they survive in the ocean.

Year 1 Teachers
This Term, I am trialling “Flipped” learning for Years 2-6 students. “Flipping” just means that the students complete some or all of their routine drill and practice work (reading and deleting emails, completing 10 Mathletics questions and continuing typing tutor lessons) early at home on the computer.
Each week I monitor the Mathletics and Typing Club dashboards for individual student progress. If positive progress is reflected in the home data, students will be invited to participate for a few minutes in extension challenges, using robot hardware on the robot tables. Due to the fragility, expense and rarity of the robotic equipment, these activities can only be undertaken in the Computer Lab, closely supervised by a teacher. Parents and Guardians please note that these activities are strictly formative and only assessed for behaviour and participation.
Alternatively, students are welcome to complete all of their routine work at the start of each lesson. There will be no penalty on the report card to the students who make this choice.
The week’s 40 minute formal lesson after drill, practice and extension time, which is part of report card’s summative assessment, is published each week on QLearn, for families to access and discuss with their child/ren.
I urge any families having difficulties accessing Qlearn at home, to email Michael Harris, ASAP, to discuss possible IT solutions.
Social Play away from computers
Speaking of fragility of our IT equipment, in an attempt to prolong the lives of our Lab computers, I am encouraging students during lessons, to take advantage of our beautiful Brisbane winter sunshine to opt for social games outside with their friends at lunchtime.
Mathletics
I have been monitoring the Mathletics whole school dashboard and have noted that there are a small group of very frequent Mathletics visitors. Those students know who I am talking about, due to the multitude of certificates that have been receiving via email lately. I am also noted that those same students, have really improved in mathematical confidence, efficiency and accuracy.
At assembly this week, a reference was made to Queensland State of Origin squad and their phenomenal team performance, two weeks ago in Sydney. Well done to 3A students, for showing that same strong teamwork spirit, to become this week’s Mathletics champion class.

School Crossing Supervisors News
Let’s Give a Big Shoutout to Our School Crossing Supervisors – Help Us Say THANK YOU!
Our amazing school crossing supervisors work hard every day to keep our students safe—and they totally deserve some love! To celebrate their dedication, the Department of Transport and Main Roads’ Road Safety team is putting together a special Workshop just for them, and they want to showcase messages of appreciation from our community.
That’s where YOU come in! Whether you’re a parent, student, or staff member, we’d love for you to share a quick thank you or a few kind words about how much their work means to you. It can be super simple—a heartfelt “thanks!” or a little note about the difference they make.
We know everyone’s busy, but even one short message can brighten their day and remind these superheroes how valued they are. Let’s spread some good vibes and show our gratitude for the folks who keep our kids safe rain or shine!
Please send your message to admin@enoggerass.eq.edu.au by 29 July 2025, and we’ll make sure it reaches the Road Safety team.
Thanks so much for helping us celebrate these everyday heroes!

Please note, we are now up to Version 6 of the performance pack. Lets go Team ESS!
Dance Ensembles, Choirs & RecorderAll of our Dance Ensembles, Choirs and Recorder band rehearsals started in Week 1. Please ensure students are attending all rehearsals. Students are now preparing for Arts on Stage in Term 4. It's important that students are attending all rehearsals as we still have many students not turning up when they are at school. Please encourage students to practise at home. Many of the groups are nearly finished their item and if they are ready, they may have the opportunity to perform at assembly. More information regarding this will be sent home over the coming weeks. Keep practising!
Strings & BandStudents are still forgetting to bring their instruments to their lessons. Please ensure you bring your instrument each week and take it home at the end of the day. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays many instruments are left behind in EPAC. Students must take their instruments home.

We need your continued help in the TUCKSHOP for TERM 3
Did you know, the Tuckshop is solely run and operated by the P&C. Rosetta our fabulous tuckshop convenor has been with our school for over 10 years, but she cannot operate the tuckshop on her own! We need 2-3 volunteers each day to ensure we can open the tuckshop doors and serve our children.
We need YOU! The Tuckshop can only operate with the support of our fantastic volunteers, and we’d love for you to be part of the team. If you can spare any time; by baking home treats on the weekend, joining our sticker club whilst you wait before school or helping in the tuckshop itself, please get in touch to lend a helping hand. Every little bit helps! If you have a keen grandparent, neighbour or friend, we would also love their help. Sign up here! Or email the P&C for further details.

Winter season update from your local team at TerryWhite Chemmart Stafford
Health authorities have issued a warning to the public about a sudden surge in hospitalisations for Influenza and COVID-19 in the past fortnight (17 July 2025). Last week 4 x Brisbane Metro North hospitals paused elective surgeries due to overwhelming emergency department presentations including Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital (RBWH) & Prince Charles after a 50% rise in presentations.
Despite QLD Health offering Free flu vaccinations for all ages, the national coverage is still well below 30% only 13.7% of children aged five to 14 years old are currently vaccinated for Flu.
Local vaccination experts and pharmacists prescribers at TerryWhite Chemmart Stafford offer FREE Flu & all other vaccinations requirements to ages 6 months and over, 7 days a week. So if you or the family are yet to be protected please consider doing so before the peak comes in August.
Book via the QR code below or walk in anytime.
PARENTING ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT THERAPY
A research team at the University of Queensland is conducting a trial of a new online parenting support called PACT Online (Parenting Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
The PACT Online study is recruiting parents of children aged 0-10 years with any neurodevelopmental disability (e.g., autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder etc) or developmental delay. Importantly, all participants in the PACT Online trial will receive PACT Online, an online parenting support program, for free.
We have received some fantastic feedback from families who have already completed the program.
Quick Summary of PACT Online Participation:
- Free online parenting program for parents of children aged 0-10 years with a neurodevelopmental disability (e.g., autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder etc) or developmental delay
- 12-week online program consisting of one self-paced module per fortnight
- A 60-minute telehealth consultation (via Zoom) per fortnight one-on-one with a therapist
- Completion of assessment items at three time points – before program, after program and at a 6-month follow-up
The PACT Online Study has received ethics approval from The University of Queensland (023/HE000040).
They say:
Demand has grown enormously and we just can’t keep up with the need.
At the moment we have reached a point where we have almost nothing, except for pasta. And we are at a point where whatever we collect, each week, is insufficient to meet the need of the people coming.
We are hoping that we might be able to get some donations, so that we can collect some stock for the next few months. If you are able to help with any donations around long life products, that would be an enormous help.
We have plenty of pasta, but very little of anything else.
Tinned food (of all kinds) and breakfast foods (of any kind) are always in huge demand. But any other donations of long life food would also be a huge help.
Any donations can be dropped off Monday-Friday, between 8:30am and 4:30pm to 180 Jubilee Terrace Bardon.
